Odie is now 21 weeks old. Well he will be tomorrow. He’s up to 57.2 lbs. He is falling off a bit on the Great Dane growth chart on weight, and he has always been on the low side on height. But he is still a pretty good size puppy.
We took him to a new dog park (new to us anyway) this weekend. He liked playing with all the dogs as usual. But he really fell in love with this 8 month old Pitbull named Ashley. It was adorable. She is the same color as Odie, but a few inches shorter even thought she is almost twice his age. But those two frolicked all over the place. On the trail, in the fields, Ashley even talked Odie into going in the river a couple times. Odie wouldn’t go in as far as her, but it’s the best he has done so far.
Here is a shot of Odie and Ashley along the trail:
And here he is playing in the river. Still very apprehensive about the situation:
Here he is at 20 weeks old. Almost 5 months. He is up to 54 lbs.
He was having fun with the kids outside. He still loves branches. And if he can’t find one on the ground he will try to rip one off the tree. Anyway, here are this week’s pictures. A few days late, but the weight was from the proper day.
Odie is now 19 weeks old. He is starting to fill out a little more. He is up to 49.6 lbs Almost hitting the big 5-0. His mites are all gone, his fur has grown back.
And now for his weekly photos:
My little Great Dane, Odie, is now 18 weeks old. He gained a whopping 4.2 lbs this week going from 42.6 lbs to 46.8 lbs. He is beginning to fill out a little finally. But amazingly, the little guy is still growing in height as well. As near as I can tell, he is about 20″ tall right now. And as I mentioned last week, he is looking more and more Great Dane. He trots around like a little horse. And he is still loving sticks. If he can’t find one in the yard, he just walks up to the Willow tree and rips one off. His fur is all grown back, and pretty much all signs of the mites are gone.
Here is a shot of him strutting around thinking he is the king of the yard:
And here is a gratuitous goofball shot, since he is almost always a goofball:
And what the hell, let’s include a shot of him being all Regal:
Odie is now 17 weeks old. He is up to 42.6 lbs. His mite issue appears to be nearly fully healed. He’s growing up to be a gorgeous little puppy. And he is looking more and more Great Dane.
