The 2nd amendment is very clear. Yet many have tried to destroy it or alter its meaning. But today the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the 2nd amendment and against current Chicago law. Hell, even President John F. Kennedy, God among men for the liberals, knew the 2nd amendment was plainly written. Here is what he had to say on the subject:
“Today, we need a nation of Minutemen, citizens who are not only prepared to take arms, but citizens who regard the preservation of freedom as the basic purpose of their daily life and who are willing to consciously work and sacrifice for that freedom.
By calling attention to ‘a well-regulated militia,’ the ‘security’ of the nation, and the right of each citizen ‘to keep and bear arms,’ our founding fathers recognized the essentially civilian nature of our economy. Although it is extremely unlikely that the fears of governmental tyranny, which gave rise to the Second Amendment, will ever be a major danger to our nation, the Amendment still remains an important declaration of our basic civilian-military relationships, in which every citizen must be ready to participate in the defense of his country. For that reason I believe the Second Amendment will always be important.”
Way to go Supreme Court, for being able to read. I am just disappointed there are still 4 justices up there that seem illiterate.
So a friend of mine that lives down in Provo just happened to find a CPC Euphoria XC frame for sale on the KSL classifieds. As luck would have it, it had never been used. This is the mountain bike I designed about 12 or 13 years ago. I can’t believe he found one that had never been used. As far as I know, only a couple examples were made of each model. So given that, and their age. It’s crazy cool that he found it. Well, he bought it to be his race bike. I honestly have no idea how it compares to modern race bikes. The Euphoria XC is the cross country version I designed.
As you can see, it is in excellent shape. Well, my friend decided to build it up and race it. I am stoked. Last I heard, he said it performed very well, and he really liked it. Here’s a shot of the assembled bike. Continue reading →
Looks pretty good. Hopefully it’s easier to drive in than Dirt 2 was. Although I admit my time on Dirt 2 was limited. But it was an awesome game. I was just too busy gettin’ my grip on in ForzaMotorsport 3.
Black Bean Games have released a new preview screenshot of the upcoming 2010 WRC game for the PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. The high-resolution screenshot depicts six-time World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb driving his Citroen C4 WRC. The Milestone developed WR … Read More
In my last post I mentioned wanting to know more about the Touge Factory car that won the Redline Time Attack race at Autobahn Country Club. Well, it took all of 10 seconds on google to find out a little about the Touge Factory car. Continue reading →
Figured you all would like seeing pictures from the latest time attack round in IL. BTW, you can see this same guy’s follow-up to this post here: http://myautoobsession.wordpress.com/2010/06/15/attaaaaack-part-2/ I love Time Attack. I was one of the employees that originally got Cobb into it. Unfortunately we were never able to make an effort like they are now. So of course they are doing pretty well this year. I am torn on that. I am happy to see them do well. But it also aggravates me because I know we could have done just as well when I was there if we had the time and budget they are playing with now.
Anyway, there was some pretty cool cars there. So check out his guy’s posts. I am curious what that Stance/Touge Factory car has done to it. Since I don’t work in the automotive world much anymore I have kind of lost interest in car mags. Maybe it’s in one of those. Although, also from working in the automotive world (especially my time in the sport compact scene) taught me that the gross majority of magazine coverage comes from California. Congrats to Touge Factory for that time though. I wonder why the car only did one lap though?
So this past weekend, I went to Redline Time Attack's Round 5 held at the Autobahn Country Club in Joliet, IL. Let me tell ya, it was pretty intense. With the damned rain coming down hard at certain times of both days, the South Circuit was full of high speed spin-outs and crashes. Some records were broken, but with the slick track, most of the guys were just having fun and being careful not to smack the wall. Some cars were damaged, but fortunat … Read More
